A FAMILY RETREAT

BELIZE

ONE OF A KIND
FAMILY EXPERIENCE

Come join our holistic off-grid community in a jungle immersion for the whole family!

"Together" is a multi-disciplinary family retreat and world school hub offered by the founders and residents of this beautiful small eco-village and retreat center, with a focus on connection and community. The variety of skills, knowledge, and wisdom present in the synthesis of our in-house practitioners and visionaries, make this hub something unique in the world.

An eco-chic environment with comfortable spaces and accommodation, with an actively running learning group for the children and plenty of families, children's and parents-only activities.

We want to co-create a joy-filled, playful experience for the whole family, where we get to connect with ourselves and each other in a beautiful and healing environment. Want to try out facilitating, teaching a skill or share a song? We would love to be a part of it and support you!

This is an experience that we ourselves want to see out there in the world, where we get to spend time with our own family, as well as other families. Time with, and time without, the children, knowing that they are having a great time while we as parents relax by the natural pool reading a book, or participate in an activity !

Where does the money go? To cover the cost of food and lodging, salaries to our wonderful staff and with a small profit that goes to the center and the facilitators. We have amazing staff here at Sattva, locals who benefit from the retreat center doing well.

We will use a part of the profit to support the local communities and projects here, sustainably and regeneratively.*

LGBTQIA+ and neuro-diverse celebrating.

* T.R.E.E.S. who are running some really great projects for the local community and the children and families here.

YASMIN PAGE

Yasmin is an educator who has gone from teaching in mainstream secondary schools in the UK to facilitating the self-directed learning co-op here at Sattva. She is also a certified kids yoga instructor.

Her background is in secondary school/high school, teaching History, English and working with neurodiverse children. However, she has been on quite the journey from mainstream education in Sweden and UK, to alternative education (teacher at Inwoods Small School - a Krishnamurti school in UK). And from a few years back, becoming a part of an unschooling family together with her partner and three children.

This has been the deepest of work, untangling and relearning so many things that are being presented to us as natural, in a society that is far from it!

Curious about change, deepening and transformation...and how it all starts with ourselves, supported by relationship and community.

The unschooling/free learning path is the path on which she has learned the simplest and most fundamental principle - that we learn what we are interested in and through play and discovery.

SAM COMBS

Sam considers himself very fortunate to be in a guiding role at Sattva! A lifelong student of the natural world, Sam does his best to infuse all of the guest experiences with opportunities for deeply immersive learning and growing. Holding space for groups and individuals to connect with themselves and the people and places that they are visiting is an intrinsic part of Sam’s mission on any retreat, and he’s going to have a blast fulfilling that objective! Sam has been the General Manager at Sattva for many years, and when he’s not immersed in that role you can probably find him making music, movement, and chocolate with his family.
