Connection with ourselves
Sacred Food
Devotion
Respect
These are the values in which Sattva Land is rooted. We share this in order to set the grounds for a better understanding of the lifestyle and practices present in our project and to facilitate a smooth integration for anyone coming by.
Connection with the Land
As we live in the Jungle we sincerely believe and understand that we are part of a huge and delightful organism. In the last few decades the human detachment from the Earth was ingrained into the minds of generations and unfortunately this brought our collective consciousness to think we are two separate things from the rest of nature... On Sattva Land we know we are not. By living amongst a vast biodiversity of all kinds of creatures, plants and organisms; we embrace the wisdom of our ancestors whose relationship with Mother Earth was of a deeper level and connection. Stop and look around, close your eyes and hear the true sounds of life's expression... these are all big values on the Land which stimulate a beautiful practice to reconnect with the true beauty surrounding us at all times.
Connection with the people
Sattva Land is a time and place where we are able to meet like minded people, share our light with others around us and open up new webs of possibilities through new authentic relationships. Life on the Land consists in sharing our true Self without any fear of exposure while cultivating an organic union with the community.
Connection with ourselves
Personal Development is a big part of our daily life. On Sattva Land we don't stop at the limits of any static belief system. Our connection with the whole is manifested on a constant reminder from our surroundings and with the integration of different practices and philosophies we embrace moments of devotion to our own world within. A blend of somatic practices including different traditions of yoga, dance and movement guided by Gloria are held on a regular basis. The community welcomes all teachers to share any personal development practices. The Land is blessed with a beautiful Shala where any practices are welcome and where you are able to find peace within a sacred space.
Devotion
Sattva land is a big project and there is lots of work to be done. Day by day something changes which brings a graceful experience of evolution reflecting all the way within ourselves.
We ask for each volunteer to come and help out willing to embrace some hard work. The days can get super hot and the sweat is continuous... great detox! As mentioned before, we want to make sure that everybody gets to contribute in different aspects of the project such as gardening, construction, art, landscaping, maintenance, carpentry, cooking, cleaning and more. It is very important to us that you come with the understanding that we ask for a minimum contribution of 7 hours of work 5 days a week. We are all hard workers, and it is with this big devotion that we were able to get here and start this big dream and can only continue with the help of like minded individuals.
Respect
There are many aspects of life where respect comes in place... all the way from respecting ourselves to all that surrounds us. We ask for everyone to have a heart full of respect for what we are doing and the way we flow during each day... respecting opinions of others on different matters, respecting each other's personal space, respecting our bodies, work ethics and all that comes with it.
Open mindfulness
There is lots and lots to learn and to take in while spending time in the Jungle with other people, creatures and all in all different surroundings. On Sattva Land we embrace change and transformation as we know this is the only way towards self and collective evolution. We welcome you to come here with an open mind where we can all collaborate, learn and teach each other to meet the real potential of our individuality and true inner being. Each day you are welcome to express your thoughts and feelings which will be heard without any judgement and welcomed with mindfulness...we ask you that you do the same.
Sacred Food
Every meal is a big ritual as we embrace the experience of all gifts of Mother Earth. All food is Sacred and treated as such. What we put in our bodies becomes our bodies... our tissues, muscles, bones and energy. As we are at the beginning of this project, we are still working on the growth of our garden and towards full self-sustainability. All products we buy come from local organic farms and stores. This allows us to contribute to our local businesses and create and expand our unity as a community. Sattva Land'd kitchen is vegetarian with the integration of a vast variety of vegan, raw and Ayurvedic meals. Our nutrition is sacred to us and with the integration of whole plant-based foods, fermentation, medicinal teas and overall high quality organic elements; our meals maintain balance within our inner eco system and stay deliciously healthy so we can continue to play with the outer ecosystem!
